Our topic for this term is SURVIVAL. We are going to be learning how species continue to live through adversity and we will be investigating different species that live around our school.
For this week (20-24 Feb) we will be learning about these creatures.

Elias and I think this creature is a.....Cicada! We have lots of these creatures at the moment in our garden too, they even 'sing' when it is raining sometimes.

I think you are learning about cicadas this week! Has Mrs Brown read the story Sids day out to you? Ashleigh tells me the boys rub their wings together to sing and the girls chirp! She also told me they have an exoskelton! What amazing learning you are doing! Have fun from Mrs Blume :)
Well done Elias and Marika. This is a cicada. We have been learning a lot about cicadas. They are incredible creatures.
